In Continia Banking, there is more than one way to process your payments. In addition to creating and processing payment suggestions in the payment journal, you can also use the Advanced Payment Suggestion functionality, which allows you to manage your payment suggestion from the Payment Suggestions page.

Important

Regardless of which option you use, the payment suggestions must be validated and exported to the bank from a payment journal with Banking Export Journal enabled.

When you create and manage your payment suggestions from the Payment Suggestions page, you have greater flexibility for tweaking specific invoice lines compared to the default payment journal in Continia Banking.

The Advanced Payment Suggestion functionality is specially useful if you are using the option to summarize payments where you, for example, consolidate multiple due payment suggestion lines for a specific vendor into a single payment. In this situation, you can edit, add, or remove individual payment suggestion lines even when using summarized payments, which you are not able to do from the payment journal.

Important

Before you enable Advanced Payment Suggestion, you should carefully consider the pros and cons for using it to process and export payments specifically in your company. Once you make your first payment run, it requires extra steps for tidying up your payment journal before you can change back to the default method.
