Sending Electronic Documents in Australia
As a customer in Australia, you can send electronic documents as files attached to emails. To promote the general adoption of PEPPOL, the Commonwealth will mandate e-invoicing for all agencies by July 1, 2022, with over 80% of invoices being able to be received electronically by July 1, 2021.
Continia Document Output currently does not have direct connectivity to the PEPPOL eDelivery Network as a result of enhanced regulations imposed by the Australian PEPPOL Authority. To establish a connection with the PEPPOL eDelivery Network, it is necessary to engage the services of a third-party integration provider. However, Continia is actively working towards enabling direct connectivity for its Australian customers to the PEPPOL eDelivery Network in the near future.
Even though you're not connected directly, you can still send electronic documents as email attachments.
Note
The A-NZ format is being widely adopted by both businesses and public authorities in Australia. A-NZ is based on the PEPPOL BIS standard. Document Output currently doesn’t support A-NZ but will do so in the near feature.
You can also export and send electronic documents to customers in other countries. Most widespread formats are supported, but not all. For a list of supported formats, see Supported Formats.
