Sending Electronic Documents in the United States
As a customer in the United States, you can send electronic documents as files attached to emails.
The United States doesn't yet have a fixed strategy for adopting the PEPPOL eDelivery Network. Considering the broad adoption of PEPPOL in Europe and beyond, Continia hopes that the United States will join PEPPOL to establish a unified and frictionless exchange of electronic documents. The United States is evaluating PEPPOL as a country-wide standard for the future.
However, as an alternative to PEPPOL, you can still export and send electronic documents as email attachments. Most widespread formats are supported, but not all. For a list of supported formats, see Supported Formats.
