Importing Electronic Documents in Australia

As a customer in Australia, you can import electronic documents into Continia Document Capture by email (as attached files).

Due to additional regulation by the Australian PEPPOL Authority, Document Capture doesn't connect you directly to the PEPPOL eDelivery Network. In order to connect to the PEPPOL eDelivery Network, you must be assisted by a third-party integration provider. In the future, Continia plans to connect Australian customers directly to the PEPPOL eDelivery Network.

Even though you're not connected directly, you can still import electronic documents as email attachments.

To promote the general adoption of PEPPOL, the Commonwealth will mandate e-invoicing for all agencies by July 1, 2022, with over 80% of invoices being able to be received electronically by July 1, 2021.

The A-NZ format is being widely adopted by both businesses and public authorities in Australia, and Document Capture supports this format. A-NZ is based on the PEPPOL BIS standard, and electronic documents in this format can be sent through the PEPPOL eDelivery Network.

You can also receive and import electronic documents from vendors in other countries. Most widespread formats are supported, but not all. For a list of supported formats, see Supported Formats.
