Enabling the Document Viewer to Display Embedded PDF Files by Default for XML

If you prefer to view embedded PDF attachments rather than original XML files in the document journal, you can set up the document viewer to display these by default. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the Search icon, enter Document Categories, and then choose the related link.
  2. To open the purchase document category, select the PURCHASE line (not the PURCHASE code itself), and then select Edit in the action bar.
  3. On the Templates FastTab, in the list of templates, select the XML master template that you want to edit, and then select Edit to open the template card.
  4. On the General FastTab, enable Show Embedded PDF files as Default.

The document viewer in the document journal will now by default display any PDF file that has been embedded within an imported XML file instead of displaying the original XML.
